I provide design and development for corporate dashboards using two solutions:
Power Pivot is a self-service BI solution from Microsoft. It can be used from Excel (Power Pivot for Excel), deployed on SharePoint on-premises (Power Pivot for SharePoint) or deployed on SharePoint Online. Power Pivot for Excel is the most cost-effective way to create your first dashboards. All you need is Excel (version 2013 or 2016 Pro). To use it as your corporate Dashboard solution you would need to deploy it on SharePoint 2013. With SharePoint Online, now we have a great opportunity to build corporate Dashboard solution at very low cost and without investing in pretty costly SharePoint on-premises infrastructure.

SAP Dashboards is relatively easy to implement - the core of it is well-known MS Excel. However visualization part is much more advanced - it has dozens of ready-to-use objects: List Builders, Play Selectors, Gauges, Dials, Calendars, Tickers, Charts, Maps, etc. With XML connector it can be connected practically to any source. And the best part - you don't need to buy anything on top of SAP Dashboards itself as it runs with Adobe Flash Player (which is free). So SAP Dashboards can be deployed on your corporate website without any additional costs.
